What is fire blankets?
A fire blanket is a safety device designed to extinguish incipient fires. It consists of a sheet of a fire retardant material like fiberglass cloth with Silicone coating that is placed over a fire in order to smother it.
Small fire blankets is common used in the kitchen and around the home are usually made of fiberglass, which we coat to avoid allergies when in use, and fold into a quick release for easy storage. These blankets are usually installed in vertical quick-release containers, such as PVC or PP boxes, so that they can be easily pulled out and wrapped around the person whose clothing is on fire.
