What is silicone coating fiberglass cloth?
Silicone rubber is a rubber compound that has both organic and inorganic properties, with high-purity fumed silica as the main component. The unique difference between silicone rubber and traditional rubber is that the molecular structure of the polymer consists of a long chain of alternating silicon and oxygen atoms. Therefore, the polymer has organic and inorganic properties. The inorganic part makes the polymer very resistant to high temperatures and provides good electrical insulation and chemical inertness, while the organic component makes it very flexible.
